Welcome to the Jedwater Caravan Park

The banks of the River Jed provide a perfect setting for this peaceful country Caravan Park, 4 miles south of Jedburgh, off the A68. Nestling in its own beautiful wooded ravine, a perfect sun trap and sheltered from wind, Jedwater Park is owned by Maureen and Neil Gibson. Holidaymakers can always be sure of a warm and friendly welcome at both the Caravan Park and the family farm, where you could meet our Shetland ponies. Come at the right time and you might see some new born lambs.



Park Facilities

The Caravan Park stretches over ten grassy acres with spacious pitches. A well-stocked grocery shop provides everything you need from frozen foods to sweets and Camping Gas. If you fancy a 'nightcap', it doubles as your on-site off-licence. A cafe is next to the Park and a Hotel is in walking distance where all will be made welcome. Toilet and showers are kept immaculately clean (free hot water is provided) and hair dryers and shaver points. There's also a telephone, useful laundry room and dish washing area.

Come and stay at our Award-Winning Thistle Caravans; and to help you enjoy your stay electric hook-ups for tents and touring caravans are available. The Park also has new and used caravans for sale - we are open from Easter to October.



Things to Do
That's one thing you'll never be short of at Jedwater Caravan Park. On site you'll find a games room, with table top football & pool table, children's play area and football pitch. Further afield there's plenty to keep you entertained every day. Free brochures on places of interest are available at the reception desk. Bicycles are available for hire from Jedburgh.

Walking Jedburgh and the Borders offer a wide and contrasting range of walks, from the breathtaking scenery of the Keilder Forest to the popular guided 'town trails'. On the Park itself, climb Jacobs Ladder, which takes you up the side of the cliff onto some delightful country walks.

Fishing: there is good salmon fishing available on the Tweed and Teviot, or trout from the River Jed which flows through the Park. Half-day ticket booking can also be made at two nearby ponds where trout are almost guaranteed.

Golf: For the golfer, seventeen good yet inexpensive courses stretch across the Borders. Choosing the one
for you is your only handicap.

Horse Riding; always a popular country sport, with festivals and events in the nearby Border towns. A Sports Centre, Dry Ski Slope, Swimming Baths/Gym are to be found in Jedburgh, while Hawick has its own Leisure Centre. Do not hesitate to ask for any further assistance.

Shopping: follow the 'Woollen Mill Trail' with an interesting tour of some of the local Mills. Treat yourself to tweeds, tartan and knitwear at bargain prices, and call in at quaint country crafts shops throughout the area. A 10% discount is available at Peter Andersons Mill Shop, Galashiels: collect your voucher from the warden
